Rather than type in the complete name of your employer or university, Google+ now lets you choose them from a new drop-down menu in the profile editor in what could be an early look at Google+ brand pages. For most entries, the company or school logo appears next to the name, though some have photos or show blank gray squares.

Google+ power user Chris Lang shared a video he made on how to find the Google+ Business profiles in testing.

In July, Google took heat for allowing some Google+ brand pages -- in violation of its own policy -- while suspending others [ see our story ]. Google later announced that brands will be able to create profiles on Google+ by the end of 2011.
