As part of its deal with T-Mobile to have the Yelp app preloaded on select phones, Yelp has added the ability to save frequent searches and search with new filters like free wifi, price range and outdoor seating.

These features are not part of the Yelp iPhone app or other Android apps. The saved-search function is exclusive to T-Mobile "for now" Yelp Senior Director of Communications Stephanie Ichinose confirmed to LAUNCH (we take that to mean iPhone and other Android app users could be waiting awhile).

The T-Mobile phones with the pre-loaded Yelp app are the Samsung Exhibit II 4G, the T-Mobile myTouch and the T-Mobile myTouch Q.

HTC leads the U.S. smartphone market with 24%, having just edged out Samsung (21%).

Yelp says its apps have an average of 5M monthly unique visitors, but Yelp has not broken down the numbers by iOS versus Android users, Stephanie told LAUNCH.

T-Mobile is the fourth-largest cellphone carrier in the U.S. after Verizon, AT&T and Sprint. The U.S. government is seeking to block AT&T's $39B acquisition of T-Mobile, announced in March 2011.
