Buzz [ shown above ] gives you a quick overview of who's being talked about most and lets you retweet/reply directly.

Paparazzi shows you which photos are getting the most retweets, though you can also view the photos by most recent [ first screen shot below ].

Hotseat presents a seating chart with white dots indicating who's tweeting and the ability to scroll through all their VMA tweets [ second screen shot below ].

This is the third year San Francisco-based design shop Stamen is working with MTV to present live Twitter visualizations of the VMAs. From what we see of Stamen's MTV work here, the 2011 version is the best so far.
