RecruiterConnect, the first enterprise software product available on Facebook, connects recruiters to job candidates work history, education and professional activity as well as similar profiles and connections to employees already working for the company.

Essentially LinkedIn on Facebook, RecruiterConnect is the latest release by BranchOut which is aiming to take Facebook's user base and turn it into a place to connect job seekers with employers.

“RecruiterConnect fills a major void for companies that have wanted to recruit on Facebook in a way that is safe, secure and private,” said Rick Marini, CEO and founder of BranchOut, in a company release. “This is an industry game changer because it not only allows recruiters and HR professionals to leverage Facebook’s network of 800 million users to find more relevant candidates quickly, but also to identify higher quality candidates by matching jobs to individuals in their employee’s extended networks.”

Another benefit of RecruiterConnect is that is allows companies to keep all of the contacts and connections made by their recruiters even if they leave the company.

“Recruiters can use an individual’s social graph to pinpoint like-minded, similarly qualified candidates in order to effectively match talent with opportunities.” said Chris Merritt, general manager of enterprise products for BranchOut, in a release.

Other products already attempting to use Facebook's extensive worldwide database for recruiting purpose include JobVite, a social recruiting platform that puts job ads on a company's Facebook page to make it easy for job hunters to apply. JobVite customers include Zappos, Zynga and even LinkedIn.

Based in San Francisco, BranchOut was founded by Rick Marini in July 2010. BranchOut raised more than $18M in Series B funding led by Redpoint Ventures, Accel Partners and Norwest Venture Partners in May.
