MyBlockNYC, an interactive mapping website, lets users upload and share personal videos to create a portrait of New York City [h/t Paper Mag ].

Google Maps-powered MyBlockNYC has 1500+ videos that cover 1067 blocks out of New York's roughly 100K blocks. Some videos show people rolling down hills, altercations with taxi cab drivers, kids fishing and more.

New York locals and tourists can search for videos based on topic, user, age of filmmaker, time of day and more. You can also click and drag the map to find videos on the yellow blocks.

The interactive map will be on display at The Museum of Modern Art as part of the "Talk to Me" exhibit through Nov. 7.

Filmmaker Alex Kalman and Alex Rickard launched MyBlockNYC in July 2011. They are working together with the NYC Department of Education to teach public school students how to make personal documentary videos.

Move around the map to see street-specific videos. Click on a yellow block to watch the video associated with that street.

When you open the video, you will see when and where it takes place in the top toolbar. You can also thumbs up or thumbs down a video.
