Dalai Lama and Desmond Tutu Broadcasting Google+ On-Air Hangout Peace Lecture
The Dalai Lama and Archbishop Desmond Tutu will broadcast their conversation using Google+'s On Air hangout as part of the Inaugural Desmond Tutu Peace Lecture in Cape Town tomorrow, Oct. 8.
The lecture is taking place at 10:30am South African time, which is 1:30am PDT. The link to the hangout will be available 20 to 30 minutes before the event starts.
Vic Gundotra wrote on his Google+ account that a link to the video of the broadcast will become available on Saturday.
The first official On-Air hangout was a broadcast by will.i.am of the Black Eyed Peas. and took place Sept. 21.
Google announced the launch of On-Air hangouts on Sept. 20, the same day Google+ left its field testing phase and opened to the public [ see our story ].
