300milligrams, a priority inbox for team conversations that maximizes your team's workflow conversations, has entered its public beta and been accepted to the 500 Startups accelerator program.

The priority inbox threads conversations by team, project, document, customer or other work-related topic into individual groups.

"We were running a team that was distributed and we realized the tools we used for conversation were really bad," Mark Kofman, co-founder and CEO of 300milligrams, tells LAUNCH. "If you use email you lose important conversations because of spam or noise messages. The same applies with instant messenger, microblogging tools. Nothing solved the problem. Skype is cool, but it's just so many messages I can't know what's most important."

On the 300milligrams main screen conversations are organized by when an item has been updated by a member of your team and lists the most recently modified documents at the top -- similar to Google Docs.

This organization can be helpful for a team when dealing with a customer issue that requires several team members to collaborate to resolve the problem. 300milligrams allows all members of the team to track each step of the resolution without the need to log into a variety of accounts or having to track numerous individual email conversations.

The service currently connects to other productivity and cloud based apps that your team is using like Google Docs, Highrise, Basecamp, Backpack and PivotalTracker, and is adding support for other popular products.

Mark says the company was originally founded in Estonia, but the team decided that if they wanted to do something big they needed to be in Silicon Valley. If they hadn't moved, none of this would have been possible, Mark says.

The main 300milligrams window is designed in a similar fashion to Google Docs, which is organized by when an item has been modified by a team member. Users can also star items they would like to monitor or save.

The discussion window keeps all of the conversation about a particular topic in one place. This eliminates the need to dig through chat conversations or search your inbox for items brought up during discussions.
